ZIPOLITE MIXTECA BLACK SANDALS

Do you love the arts, dance, and architecture? You'll find it all in this region, the Mixteca region of Oaxaca. If you're a true dancer, you should know that this is the birthplace of the jarabe Mixteco, a traditional dance that celebrates the entire region during the Guelaguetza. It's also the birthplace of singer-songwriters, as a grand gathering dedicated to Mixtec song is held here every year. To appreciate its architectural legacy, you must head to Porfirio Díaz Park in downtown Huajuapan de León. All of this inspired us to design this sandal.

The leather has a semi-gloss finish and is an elegant black color.

It features a platform of colorful handcrafted textiles emphasizing all the picturesque features of the region.

We designed this sandal with a team of Oaxacan artisans. We put all our passion and love into this model, so when you buy one of these sandals, it's as if you're carrying a piece of our Oaxacan heart with you.

The color of the textile may vary since they are handmade.

Technical materials:

Upper: Cowhide, vegetable tanned in black, semi-matte finish.

Lining: Synthetic polyester.

Insole: Pigskin, finished in natural-colored suede.

(The insole features Memory Foam injection in the heel to increase walking comfort)

Footbed: Textured synthetic Tr in cream color.

Platform: Tape made on a 4-pedal loom with polyester threads.

Sole: Ultralight anti-slip Eva.

(This sole is not designed for heavy duty use or mountainous terrain activities)
